I recently went to
CarMax to look at a used car. The first thing I told the salesman was "I don't need financing, I allready have obtained it through my Bank." No problem he says. After seeing the car I liked he goes into power sell mode. He said he needed some
personal info, i.e. SS#, JOB TITLE , Annual income? Like a
fool i gave it to him and wham He had
loans for me to take the car home that day. I did not ask him to do that, he slyly said it was for their records. I took an 8 point credit hit on my
credit report because I WAS STUPID.! DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU! DON'T GIVE OUT YOUR SS#!!!!

you're an moron, it doesn't matter if you're paying cash or financing, the dealer uses the ss number to double check to make sure you are whom you say you are. and it doesn't matter what dealer you go to, they all will make you fill out a short credit app. even paying cash
